What is moochbot?
moochbot is an online tool to help you manage things you lend and borrow with friends, family and colleagues.
What does it cost?
moochbot is absolutely free. Our aim is to have the site pay for itself with some advertising and a few hooks into retailers.
How do I signup?
Just fill out this simple form. We'll send an email to the address you provide in order to confirm your email address. Once confirmed, you will have full access to moochbot.
How does it work?
Once you have an account, you create transactions in which you are either the lender or the borrower. You can specify the items being lent and when they should be returned to the lender.
At each step in the transaction, an email is sent to the appropriate party. For example, when a new transaction is created, an email is sent to the other party letting them know that they are involved in a new transaction.
Does everyone have to have an account?
No. We realize that not everyone is going to want a moochbot account. So we've made it possible to participate in transactions without having a full-blown account. However, once you've created a real account, you can initiate new transactions.
What if I want to quit?
At any time you can decide that you don't want to use moochbot anymore. If you have created an account, simply sign-in and close your account from your account page.
If you have not yet created an account, you can request having your email removed from any further transactions by filling out this form .
Once you've disconnected we will prevent any new transactions from being created with your email address. At anytime, you can return to moochbot and reactivate your account simply by logging in.
How can I replace that default gray portait image?
moochbot integrates with Gravatar , a free service that associates an email address with an avatar image of your choice. Once you setup an image with Gravatar, your avatar image will instantly be available to many sites on the web that also use Gravatar. Gravatar is a free service and definitely worth checking out!
